As I keep working on the Sampler Quilt 2022, today I want to share to you a new block to make with the Paper Piecing Pattern method, to celebrate the month of February this block has a house with a heart, I hope you join the fun of making this quilt and this new quilt block.
Quilting is an amazing hobby that helps us to make many different items with a meaning, as the month of February is around the corner, you might be looking for something to make, whether is a pillow, a table runner or a mini quilt to hang on the wall to decorate your home for this month.

You will get a PDF with the paper patterns you need to make this block, I suggest to make two copies of the pattern, one to save it as reference and in case you want to make it later again, and one copy to cut out the four patterns you will need to make this quilt block.
How To Make The Heart Quilt Block
The first thing to do is to cut out the two paper patterns you need to make the heart, follow the numbers to make the two pieces.
Sew on the two pieces of the heart to make the heart mini block. Remove all the pins and paper and press.
How To Make The House With A Heart Paper Piecing Pattern Block
To make this Quilt Block, you will be working on three sections to make the block. The first section is the house and you will need to start with the heart small block you made before in the center or as piece # 1, pinch this block to the back of the paper with two pins, now you can keep working on this piece following the numbers and colors.
When you finish making the first section, you can follow to make the other two sections, the roof and sky and the two chimnies and the sky section. Follow the numbers and the color code.
Note: On the section for the chimnies and the sky, you can cut two pieces of fabric for the chimnies in the color of your choice, and two pieces of fabric from a blue fabric, stitch on the two pieces for the chimnies to the two pieces for the sky, then pin one of these two pieces on the back of the pattern and work on the paper piecing pattern method.
When the three sections to make this quilt block are done, you can sew on one section to the other to make this quilt block.
How To Press And Trim The House With A Heart Quilt Block
When the block is done, remove all the pins and all the paper from the block, press and trim the block to 8.5 x 8.5 inches.
The House With A Heart Paper Piecing Pattern Quilt block is all done and it looks amazing!
