Snowman Paper Piecing Pattern is a free PDF file to download to make an 8.5 x 8.5 inches Quilt Block, it can be used to make a pillow, a table runner or even a quilt by making one or more blocks with this pattern.
Quilts made with snowman are always pretty and they can be displayed during the Holidays to decorate a corner of your home or all year round!

To make the Snowman Paper Piecing Pattern, you will need to have some knowledge about how to work with the PPP method, in case you’re new to quilting, you can read this tutorial where I explain how to make your quilt blocks with the PPP method.
The Snowman Paper Piecing Quilt Block, is made of four sections, you will need to work to make each section by following the numbers on each section first.
The color code to make this quilt block is shown on the front page of the free pattern.
When you have the four sections done, all you need is to sew on one section to the other until you finish sewing on the four section, remove all the pins and press.
Trim the Snowman Quilt Block
This pattern is designed to make an 8.5 x 8.5 inch quilt block, when this block is finished and pressed, you can trim your quilt block to this size.
How To Do The Snowman’s Face Embroidery
The embroidery on this block is easy to do:
- Satin Stitch with one strand of embroidery floss dark brown – eyes
- Back stitch with one strand of embroidery floss dark brown – mouch
- Crewel stitch with two strands of embroidery floss in orange – nose.
What To Do With The Snowman PPP Quilt Block
This block can be part of a regular size quilt, you can find more PPP patterns of the same size, they will be part of a regular size quilt.

The Snowman Paper Piecing Pattern will make a cute Quilt block that can be used to make a pillow, all you need to do is to add a border on the four sides of the finished block, and then quilt it by hand or with the Free Motion Quilting, then all you need to do is to add a fabric for the back of the pillow.
If you want to use the Snowman PPP Quilt Block to make a table runner or a quilt, all you need to do is to make two or more blocks with the same pattern and stitching them together with a sashing between the blocks, then you will need to make the quilting sandwich to quilt it by hand or with your sewing machine, finish your project by sewing on a bias and it will be ready.
