Print out the free pattern and with the help of a pair of scissors for paper, cut out all the paper templates.
Trace each paper template on a fabric on the pretty side, cut each piece with the help of a pair of scissors for fabric, adding 1/4 inch for the seam.
Arrange all the applique pieces on the quilting sandwich, pinch a pin on each fabric piece, or make one or two running stitches to hold each piece on its place.
Do the hand applique of each fabric piece by using the needle turn method.
When all the hand applique is done, you can do the embroidery:

When the hand quilting is all done, you can do a basting stitching all around the mark you did for the makeup travel bag.
5. How To Do The Two Inside Pockets
Sew on the zipper to one piece of the nylon pieces, and sew on a bias tape on the other side of the zipper. Lay this piece on one side of the makeup travel bag on the inside, 1/4 inch from the center, pinch a few pins.
Sew on a bias tape on the second nylon net piece, lay this piece on the other side of the inside of the bag, 1/2 inch from the center. Pinch a few pins to hold this piece on its place.
Sew on these two pieces to the quilted piece, run on your sewing machine over the basting stitches you made at the end of step 2.

Lay the quilted piece on your work table, and fold it in the middle, mark the middle point on one side, place the piece you made, match the center points and pin the piece on the quilted piece.
Sew on the bias tape all around the quilted piece on the pretty side.
Roll out the bias tape to the inside of the bag, and fold the bias tape to close on the inside of the bag, stitch on to close the bias tape, this step can be done by hand or on your sewing machine.
